A volunteer writes:
When his elderly owner went into a long term care nursing facility, Bobby and his cat housemate were brought to our care. A little muppet in a shaggy white coat, Bobby lays quietly in his kennel, trying to digest the change in his world. Happy to come out for a walk, Bobby's leash manners are good, and while he didn't solicit affection allowed me to pet him. His tail wags as he walks, but with touch it tucks a bit and he trembles. I understand. His universe is no longer what he knows...he lost his two best friends, both a two legged and a four legged one. He needs a new home in which he can decompress and start over. He's a sweet little guy with lots of good years in front of him. Let's make sure he has that chance.
