A volunteer writes: He may be just a sweet little puppy but Rock was the 'man of the house' in his former life and up until their owner was evicted he shared a full, loving home with sisters Ikea (A1004850) and Denim (A1004852) and his Mom, Minnie (A1004849) not to mention two kitty step-siblings! The whole family is already spayed/neutered, beautiful both inside and out and in such great condition that it's abundantly clear if fate (and the landlord) hadn't taken a hand, this gang of four would be living their own happily ever after tale right now. Instead they're sitting in separate kennels, confused and upset by this sudden turn in their life and four pairs of brown and amber eyes follow me as I walk by...waiting and hoping, waiting and hoping...Rock is a wee bit shy but he's a social guy at heart, eager to meet me and sooo happy to be going outside. A little get-to-know-you time, a few delicious treats, some soft petting and sweet talk soon see this gentle, affectionate pup snuggling right into my side and giving me what must surely be the softest kisses ever. Rock does chase after the ball but prefers a good walk (or should I say bounce, he still has that goofy big-footed puppy thing going on!) and his lovely leash manners and apparent house training are just what you'd expect from such a good boy. He greets other dogs with easy-going friendship and a happy tail and we're told he gets along well with kids too. Whether your 'pack' includes dogs, kids or even cats, Rock would make the ideal baby brother and yes, he's ready to leave today! So what are you waiting for? Come get your very own bundle of brindle perfection, his name is Rock and he'll be waiting for you...

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 06/27/2014 from NY 10472, owner surrender reason stated was OWN EVICT. I came in with Group/Litter #K14-183763.
This dog is currently in foster care through Manhattan Animal Care&Control (326 E110 St NYC 10029). For more information about Rock, email adoption @ nycacc.org and ShelterSupervisors @ NYCACC.org (remove the spaces) but ONLY email if you are serious about adopting. You must reference Rock's ID#A1004853 and shelter location (MACC) when emailing...Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go un-noticed.
