A volunteer writes:
Roxie is a solid gal who seems to have been well cared for until her abandonment. She wears a well groomed coat, is very well nourished and is said to carry a precious load? She loves treats ..I guess she has to eat for 2 or probably more?. She is friendly, sociable and likes to be petted all over, making sure to offer her belly for caresses. Roxie sits on command and comes right away when called. She seems to be house trained and eliminates during our walks. As we strolled around the block, Roxie became very wary and responded to two very dog aggressive pairs of dogs coming our way. No mom or future mom wants danger threatening her brood. Roxie is otherwise easy going and knows that humans can be a source of good. She seems very much like a family dog. Now, Roxie needs a good and loving home to welcome her and her puppies to be. She is waiting patiently at the Manhattan Care center.

Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go un-noticed. Contact the NYC ACC at (212) 788-4000 for further automated instructions. Also, have the ID# listed at the top of this post handy when inquiring!! This dog is in danger of being on the euthanasia list and could be scheduled to be killed at any time!
