One would have to wonder how any dog named Lucky would find himself at a high-kill shelter after spending 10 yrs with his family. Surely noone wonders more than Lucky himself. Apparently someone in the house suddenly developed allergies...after 10yrs? to a yorkie? Yorkies do not shed and have hardly any dander, they are generally considered one of the best breeds for people with dog allergies. Regardless of the circumstances, this dog needs and deserves a little luck and a better place to lay his head.
