A volunteer writes:
Paige is a young gal with the most gorgeous Pittie smile, freckled rabbit's ears and a lovely cow print coat. She is still a babe at 11 months of age, healthy and seems to have been so well cared for. She was found in a park before to be brought to us and we have now the pleasure to take care of her and the task to find her the wonderful home and family she so deserves. Paige might come at first a little shy but she gets "in the mood" pretty quickly. Her serious face transforms into a happy one after a good walk and a ball game, sprinkled with caresses and sweet talks. She can sit on command for treats she does . . .not like and will run and catch a ball that she does not retrieve yet. She takes a healthy interest in other dogs and even play bowed to a handsome Hound in a playgroup. Paige is quite a good walker and appreciates her walk around the block, tail wagging and care free. She likes to hop on the bench next to me, sniff me and eventually give me little pecks on my face. . .. Gorgeous Paige seems to be ready to meet you, listen to all what you might want to teach her and be your forever best friend. She is waiting for you at the Manhattan Care Center.
FROM JUNE 2016: Another volunteer updates: Ears, glorious ears. . .. . .. . .. . .I wonder if she's getting radio signals from outer space with those ears! A beauty in her soft as velvet brown and white coat, her fabulous bunny ears are spattered with freckles, her tail wags and her eyes shine. She's likely housetrained, pulling on her leash until she finds a good spot to go potty, and then walks nicely on leash. In the park Paige shows off her sit in exchange for a treat, and then sneakily tries to get into my treat bag for more! As other dogs approach she greets them through the fence with a wagging tail. Wearing her happy smile, our little munchkin is ready to greet you and convince you and she belong together. Let yourself be convinced -- she's adorable!
