A volunteer writes: Xena looks unreal, magical in her silvery and flawless coat. Perfectly matching grey eyes complete her elegant look. She looks well nourished and perfectly healthy. She is beautiful and breathtaking; a work of art. Xena welcomes me in her kennel. She wiggels and wags her tail, she is so excited. She is pretty good on the leash and even eliminates as we leave the care center. Posing for pictures is not an issue for Xena. She could be a doggie fashion model. I sense some stress, though. She whimpers a little at times. In the yard, Xena chooses to stay close to me. She seems insecure, jumps on the bench next to me, then on my lap, wags her tail feverishly and kisses me. She does not seem to know what to do with herself. She is barely out of puppyhood. She needs attention, care, love and a good upbringing. Xena is a gorgeous girl who needs a home to call her own and a master who will provide safety, teaching and love. Imagine what magic these simple ingredients will work on young Xena...Xena is at the Manhattan Care Center waiting and dreaming to be your girl...
