Crotona stands in her kennel, tail wagging as she surveys the scene in front of her. "When is it going to be my turn?", she seems to be asking. As I unlatch her kennel door she looks up smiling and out we go. She takes care of business as soon as we are out the door, so may be housetrained. Crotona has severe mange and will need plenty of TLC and vet care to help her fur grow back. Despite her neglected appearance she is super social, friendly and affectionate. Her favorite thing was to be in my lap for some hugs, with her tail wagging a mile a minute. She seems to like other dogs, tail wagging appropriately at those we passed. As we took some photos (Crotona posing perfectly), some people came over to ask about her. It was a good teaching experience, and Crotona was gracious and patient as we all talked. There was a lot of activity in the park on this hot afternoon - kids on scooters, families picnicking, people waiting to get into the pool - nothing fazed little Miss Crotona, she was as cool and collected as could be. Crotona will be a wonderful companion and is hoping someone will see beyond her appearance at the moment and know that she will be rockstar gorgeous with proper nutrition and care. Please come meet her and give her that chance. Your reward will be unconditional love from a fabulous little girl. Ask for Crotona.
