One look at big, beautiful Binks and I can tell he's my kind of guy! Chunky yet soft and wearing a cute brindle bodysuit and matching mask, Binks is tail-waggingly happy from the get-go and his intelligent eyes spark with a lively light that says 'pshaw!' to anyone who'd dare suggest that at just 8 years old he's 'over the hill'. Surrendered to our care by the only family he's ever known, Binks is said to recognize all the classic commands and we're told he's relaxed and exuberantly playful with children, extremely house trained (as he quickly demonstrated for me), confident and independent yet affectionate too and really just wants to be where his people are. Out in the yard we snuggle together for a bit (love that smooshy bull neck!) but my toys and treats hold little interest so we decide to go exploring in the street instead and this kind of treat Binks likes very much. He walks so well on leash and seems to love all the other dogs we pass, greeting everyone with a huge smile and a gently wiggling body. His former owner tells us that Binks really doesn't enjoy the company of cats so a home with only canine or human siblings (or both!) would be best for this handsome hunk. Binks is a lotta dog to love with a lotta love to give and his calm, easy-going personality would make him a great fit for just about any dog-savvy home. Why not welcome him into yours today?

Contact the NYC ACC at (212) 788-4000 for further automated instructions. Also, have the ID# listed at the top of this post handy when inquiring!! This dog is in danger of being on the euthanasia list and could be scheduled to be killed at any time! From The ACC site: To help ensure successful adoptions, please fill out a pre-adoption application (http://www.nycacc.org/pdfs/adoptions/AdoptionApplication.pdf) and bring it with you when you come into the Care Center to adopt a pet. If you are coming from outside of the immediately area, it is strongly suggest that you first complete an application and email it to adoption @ nycacc.org -This will allow ACC to answer any questions and resolve any potential obstacles before you make the trip.
