I saw Chris arriving at the care center. Breath-taking...That is what came first to my mind. I got to meet him two days down the line. What a gorgeous dog ! Chris has a gorgeous, flawless and thick coat. As I pet him, though, I feel a body that is only skin and bones.. How did it come to that point? I learned that Chris was also quite dehydrated when we received him... What happened? We will never know. We can only imagine. Chris is very welcoming in his kennel. His eyes are bright and intelligent, looking right at me. He wags his tail. he wants out. He is leashed without fuss . Chris pulls tremendously. He is mighty strong too despite his physical shape. He clearly shows dislike toward other dogs. He might have been a guard dog. Chris is quite obedient, though. He listens to commands, sits upon request and very much enjoys caresses. He likes to be with humans. Chris is a magnificent dog who in addition to be properly fed and cared for, will need training if he is given a chance. Chris is very bright and might just learn to become a great pet or some kind of service dog...in the right hands. Chris is at the Manhattan Care Center, waiting for his chance to be loved, understood and shine.
