A volunteer writes: Autumn looks like she stuck her nose in a glass of milk! Wearing a stunning deep cocoa color coat, her nose is white like a milk mustache all the way around....SO cute! She has the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen, luminous, intelligent and thoughtful which she uses to make soft eye contact as we take some photos. Petite, elegant and well groomed, Autumn gives up that sophisticated look for a good butt scratch, doing a little side step with her back legs.... Pulling a bit on the leash initially, she settles to walk nicely after taking care of all her business outside. She wags her tail easily at other dogs we pass in the street as well as in the backyard. The person who found her as a stray had her for two weeks living with 2 adults and a 5 year old. The 5 year old gave her a manicure with nail polish! We're told she gets along with all people, knows sit (which she showed me for a treat), give paw and lie down. We're also told that she will go to the door when she needs to go out. Autumn is petite enough to fit into any living situation. She's easy to be with, gentle and calm and hopes to find her home with you for all seasons. Ask to meet her today.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 03/24/2014 from NY 10461, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.
This dog is located at the Manhattan Animal Care&Control (326 E110 St, Manhattan 10029). For more information on a particular dog, email adoption @ nycacc.org (remove the spaces) but ONLY email if you are serious about adopting, and ONLY if you are able to GO TO the shelter in-person. Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go un-noticed. Contact the NYC ACC at (212) 788-4000 for further automated instructions. Also, have the ID# listed at the top of this post handy when inquiring!! This dog is in danger of being on the euthanasia list and could be scheduled to be killed at any time!
