A volunteer writes: Belinda is quite poised in her kennel. A little angel resting comfortably and peacefully on her blankie. She comes right away at her door when she sees me approaching. She is ready...she pulls a little on the leash. She is so happy to be out, see the world, play and be entertained. Belinda is a beautiful gal, a babe still at ten months of age. She is healthy looking and well nourished, wearing a beautiful latte and cream coat . Her eyes are lively, sparkling and naughty. She is a leaping deer that sometimes uses me as a bouncing board. She runs, jumps after the ball and the frisbee, catches them in mid air and let me take them out of her mouth...She could go on and on, for hours, I think. She sometimes mouths a little in her excitement but stops with a sharp no. Belinda eventually gets out of steam, so do I. Time to rest. Boisterous Belinda transforms then into a lap dog who is all kisses. She loves to be petted and talked to. She is just a youngster and needs comfort. Nothing better than a good walk around the block before to go to bed. Few pooches are met. Belinda wags her tail in a very friendly way. She eliminates before returning to the care center. Belinda is a young female, full of live who would do well with an active owner or family. Time will tame her energy. Owners who have brought up puppies know that very well... Gorgeous Belinda is at the Manhattan Care Center. Come and meet this great girl. She will be a fun and loving companion.. It's a promise......

I am a female tan and white am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 10 MONTHS old. Weight 49lb
I came in the shelter as a SEIZED on 01/18/2013 from NY 10032, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.
This dog is located at the Manhattan Animal Care&Control (326 E110 St, Manhattan 10029). For more information on a particular dog, email adoption @ nycacc.org (remove the spaces) but ONLY email if you are serious about adopting, and ONLY if you are able to GO TO the shelter in-person. Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go un-noticed. Contact the NYC ACC at (212) 788-4000 for further automated instructions. Also, have the ID# listed at the top of this post handy when inquiring!! This dog is in danger of being on the euthanasia list and could be scheduled to be killed at any time!
