Nena is a 10 yr old chi who lived with the same family until recent 'conflicts' with children...one has to wonder who is to blame but no matter the circumstances, Nena's situation remains the same...at a high kill shelter in desperate need of a home before ending up on the dreaded 'kill list', through no fault of her own...she has lived with other dogs and gotten along fine. She may do best in a home without young children.
Nena could win an award for how cute she is!! Nena came to the care center as she was not getting along with her owners children. Living with her previous owner her whole life, she is showing the same fearfulness of strangers in the care center. Nena walks calmly on a leash, has no interest in toys or food, and no interest in other dogs. Being 10 years old with a possible non-reducible hernia and abnormal heart sound, she should have a full geriatric work up at a private veterinary clinic.
