American Shorthair - Jasmine - Medium - Senior - Female - Cat
Jasmine is our gorgeous Golden Girl, around 12-14 years old. She's having a hard time adjusting to her new surroundings, understandably so, after living many years with her elderly owner who has been unable to care for her due to his own serious illness. Fortunately she was saved and brought to us by a friend. We hope the daily help from the Artemis volunteers and LSVH staff will gradually allow her to relax in her new surroundings and enjoy the attention and affection from us. We do want to note that she loves to play with string toys, enjoys a little cat nip, loves her treats and has a hearty appetite. She is unable to accept being petted unless it's while she's eating. She is an absolutely lovely cat, with her soft gray, taupe and white fur and brilliant green eyes. Her health is stable, though being older she may need extra care. What she most needs is an animal lover who finds fulfillment in helping a cat in most need of help; to see the joy and wonder of helping an animal regain her joy in life. Please let us know if you are that person - to adopt or even foster.
