Domestic Short Hair - Gray - Lindy - Medium - Adult - Female
A note from Lindy's foster: Lindy was pregnant when she was brought to the ACC. Being the strong mommy-to-be, she was very protective of her unborn litter. This protectiveness was then wrongfully written as temper, putting her on the euth list. When Anjellicle Cats agreed to rescue her, everything was done in an attempt to save her and the babies, but the shelter aborted her babies in order to release her. This late term abortion caused complications and she required another surgery performed by the great folks at Animal General. Lindy had to get days of monitoring after the second surgery to reverse compliations but has been in my care since Valentine's day. She is still shy, but is never aggressive. She flinches when I first pet her (understandable after everything she has gone through), but once I start - she is a purring machine. She is vocal when she wants a little attention. She will stay next to you forever as long as you keep petting her! Right now she tolerates my other cats and is not aggressive towards them and the distance between them is getting shorter and shorter. She would be fine with other cats as long as she is given enough time to adapt. (She lets my other cats eat her food, and that is more than I can say about my own cats...) Lindy is very sweet, just very shy and cautious. She needs a home where she will be loved. After all her recent troubles, she needs a little reassurance that people are not out to get her anymore, and a little time to let her guard down... But inside she is a girl waiting for and wanting love and affection.
